Howard & Company Real Estate Appraisers and Consultants Inc. was founded on February 16, 2007.  The formation of this new company was the result of the dilution of Anderson Preece and Associates Inc., a local real estate appraisal firm in which some of the founders of Howard and Company were partners of.  With, a total of nine appraisers on staff, we are the largest firm in central Alberta, providing our clients with over 100 years of combined experience.

Howard & Company Inc. is a full service real estate appraisal company specializing in residential properties, rural residential properties, acreage holdings, agricultural facilities as well as investment real estate which includes multi-family residential apartments, industrial facilities, office buildings, shopping centres and special use facilities, including “going concerns” and business valuations.

We prepare appraisal assignments for asset valuation to assist in the sale and acquisition of a property, mortgage lending purposes, matrimonial property disputes, foreclosure purposes, assessment appeals, corporate restructuring and feasibility studies.  We also prepare “Insurance Appraisals” which is a reproduction cost new estimate used by insurance companies to determine the amount of coverage required in case of a claim.

We also value personal property through the Canadian Personal Property Appraisers Group.  This type of appraising includes; bankruptcy valuations, business equipment and machinery, farm equipment as well as livestock.  Personal property may also require valuation for estates, matrimonial property disputes, accidental or casualty losses and insurance purposes.

We provide condominium corporations with Reserve Fund Studies.  We are fully licensed under the Real Estate Institute of Canada and the reports are done in accordance with theProvince of Alberta’s Condominium Act.  The principal  of a reserve fund study is that reserve funding is the provision of resources for major repairs and replacements of building components and improvements, or common elements, over time to ensure adequate funding of all future capital expenditures when required.

It is our mission to be Red Deer’s only full service appraisal firm assisting in the valuation of real estate, personal property, businesses, insurance and condominium corporations reserve funds.  All of our assignments are done with the utmost confidence as always time is of the essence.

In 2008 and again in 2009, Howard & Company Inc. was awarded the prestigious “Professional Service of the Year” Award by the Canadian Home Builders Association -Central Alberta.

The firm is located on the south side of Parkland Mall,  which is civically described as; Second Floor, Unit 906, 4747 – 67  Street.
